Dear friends,

Shining Blue Dot NY will hold its founding commemoration gala on Thursday, February 4, 2027, at 6:00 PM, at the International House of Japan in Tokyo.

We are deeply honored that the International House of Japan has generously offered its venue, and we are truly delighted to be able to celebrate our founding in Tokyo.

Along with my own remarks on the occasion of our founding, the evening will welcome Kazuki Sawa — former president of Tokyo University of the Arts, and my teacher since I was fourteen — and, as a special guest from New York, the entrepreneur Keiko Aoki. A childhood friend of mine, whom many of you know well, is also scheduled to appear in a surprise friendship appearance.

I hope this gathering will deepen your understanding of Shining Blue Dot NY's work, and that it may become the beginning of your lasting support. I look forward, from my heart, to being together with you all. Though I know how busy you are, I would be so glad if you would join us.

Eiko Kano
